A fantastic new addition to the seemingly unending antipodean-styled coffee shop craze that's taking over London right now.

Like Kaffeine and Fernandez and Wells before them, F&G have opted for the warehousey look with lots of bare brick and unfinished wood, and it works (the cafe is in the new block of flats at the bottom of Berwick Street on the left hand side as you approach 'porn alley').

They serve Monmouth coffee here with organic milk from My House farm in Devon and they obviously know what they're doing as my macchiato was spot on - just strong enough, not too bitter, and really really drinkable (and served in a funky glass bowl).

They were nice enough to give us a chocolate browny to sample and they were fantastic - gooey, rich and tasty but not too large so you want to eat another one straight away. We didn't get to taste the freshly made sandwiches (or the muffins - Eggs Benedict alert!) but they looked really good, so there's my excuse to go back.
